2 Vitamins That Will Help You Lose Tummy Fat

Can vitamins really help you lose weight? There are 2 very important vitamins that have been said to help you lose weight. The 1st is vitamin C, but I recently discovered that vitamin B12 also plays an important role in helping with weight loss with people going to the extent of getting vitamin B12 shots. How do these vitamins help with weight loss?

Vitamin C

Stress increases the level of a hormone called cortisol and this hormone encourages the storage of fat in the tummy. Vitamin C is associated with reducing the level of cortisol in the blood during stress caused by exercise. Consuming vitamin C can play a role in reducing the amount of fat in your tummy, but this works best if you take them just before a workout. If you don’t like to take supplements here is a list of some foods with high levels of vitamin C:

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 helps boost the metabolism and burn the stored fat in your tummy. Vitamin B12 is available in pills, mouth sprays and shots. The shots are normally prescribed to people with vitamin B12 deficiency, however some clinics are promoting the shots as an effective way to lose weight. It is important to note that vitamin B12 does not cause weight loss, it only helps contribute to weight loss by helping metabolise protein and fat. The best sources for vitamin B12 are:

    Thanks for sharing your tips on losing belly fat, I’m surprised I never knew up to now that there are Vitamins that can help reduce tummy fat but then again, I did not have weight problems till recently when I realized my clothes are getting tighter.
    Although I do take vitamin C in different foods, like kale, tomatoes, and broccoli, I did not think them as being active in weight loss.
    B 12 vitamins are also included in my diet almost daily but I did not think they are also for weight loss.
    Something I need to ask, do you think supplements will do the same job? I’m asking because I’m going traveling soon and may need supplements to speed up things, as said, my weight and waistline is starting to be an issue.

    Getting Vitamin B12 shot to lose weight? Really!?

    I have been taking Vitamin B Complex for quite some time now to reduce stress and also fatigue. Thanks to your article, now I know that B 12 which is included in B Complex contributes to weight loss. The content of B 12 might be lower but, coupled with the correct diet you recommended and exercises, I am pretty sure my weight can be controlled.

  7. Great information on the two vitamins that help to lose belly fat. Vitamin B12 I’ve heard of quite a bit, even Dr. Bernstein use it is in his program when he helps people to lose weight.
